IFPTE Participates in Federal Workforce Union Coalition Lobby Day on Capitol Hill

IFPTE joined members and leaders from AFGE, NFFE-IAM, and NTEU on Capitol Hill this week as a part of a lobby day urging lawmakers to maintain the House-passed Norcross language that restores Department of Defense (DOD) employee collective bargaining rights into the final Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) conference report, pass the Senate version (S.2837) of the Protect America’s Workforce Act (PAWA) that repeals the illegal executive orders signed by President Trump last year seeking to eliminate union rights from 1.3 million federal workers, and reject the Trump Administration’s federal employee pay freeze proposal by passing a 4.1% pay increase for our nation’s civil servants.  Local 98 president, Daniel Kim, joined legislative director, Faraz Khan, on the Hill for the meetings.
