IFPTE Union Council 8 teamed up with the United Way of Greater Union County, the City of Elizabeth, New Jersey, and Phillips 66 in support of a toy distribution to serve children and families in Union County, New Jersey, during the Holiday Season.

The toy drive and distribution took place before Christmas, providing toys and support to numerous children and families.  Union Council 8 President, Brother Jamar Cherry, who helped to raise resources and money to fund the toy distribution and who participated in the event, commented:  “As a Union, I believe we have a responsibility to provide community support to our members, and to the families and communities that we serve every day. We are certainly well situated to help uplift families and children in the cities that we represent, and this toy drive during the Holiday Season was a perfect opportunity to do just that.

Union Council 8 is proud to have supported this toy distribution and will continue to do so during the Holiday Season moving forward.”  The toy drive benefited hundreds of children and families.  Well done Union Council 8!
