"Welcome Back! Let's Rebuild" - EA/IFPTE Local 1937 Declares Victory

After nearly a year long fight to prevent 220 EA, Local 1937 represented IT jobs from being privatized and sent overseas, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) management has finally seen the error in their ways and agreed to the union’s request to sack the four IT offshoring contractors they intended to do business with.

In announcing the victory to her members, which came just one day after an article appeared in GovExec questioning the status of the contractors, EA/IFPTE Local 1937 President/Eastern Federal Area Vice President Gay Henson wrote that “now, we move forward, without the threat of outsourcing over our collective heads! It is a new day!”
