IFPTE Attends New Jersey State AFL-CIO Endorsement Conference

IFPTE leaders in New Jersey attended the New Jersey State AFL-CIO Endorsement Conference held in Atlantic City on June 16-18, 2025.  Members from Locals 18, 194, 195, 196, and 200 were in attendance. 

New Jersey is one of two states in the country with regularly scheduled gubernatorial elections in 2025. Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill was officially endorsed for Governor, and praised for her consistent dedication to public service, support for working families, and commitment to labor. 

The NJ State AFL-CIO also endorsed a strong group of pro-worker candidates for the General Assembly and the LD-35 special State Senate election. Additionally, 49 union members in its Labor Candidates Program were endorsed for November. 

IFPTE is dedicated to supporting Mikie Sherrill's election as Governor and preserving a democratic majority in New Jersey.
