IFPTE Hits the Pavement in Maine in Support of Troy Jackson
(l-r) Arthur Phillips with Maine AFL-CIO, and IFPTE members - Bill Fitzpatrick, Matt Biggs, David LaFemina, and Matthew Joyce.
With one week remaining until election day, IFPTE participated in the Maine AFL-CIO’s Labor 2026 mobilization program in support of IFPTE and AFL-CIO-endorsed candidate for the United States Senate, Troy Jackson.
IFPTE endorsed Jackson on July 30th, calling him, “an unapologetic and staunch supporter of IFPTE’s vast membership, particularly those represented by IFPTE Local 4 and employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine.” President Matt Biggs commented that, “it is important that we at IFPTE do our part to elect pro-worker, pro-union candidates like Troy Jackson to the United States Congress to help mitigate and reverse the destructive policies being promulgated on working families by the current administration.” IFPTE will remain in Portland, Maine throughout the week.
