Winnipeg Municipal Election
Winnipeg voters head to the polls on October 28 with significant changes expected at City Hall as five sitting councilors are not seeking re-election. The outcome is particularly important for members of WAPSO/IFPTE Local 162, whose wages, working conditions and collective bargaining are directly influenced by decisions made by City Council.
The Winnipeg Labour Council (WLC) has released its list of labour-endorsed candidates, encouraging voters to consider the issues that matter most to workers and their communities. Advance voting continues through October 23, with election day voting taking place Wednesday, October 28.
