IFPTE Joins Canadian Labour Congress President Bea Bruske in Congratulating Prime Minister, Mark Carney, While Also Urging Him to, “Deliver Real Progress”

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and the Liberals carried the day on Monday in Canada’s national election.

Carney, who took over for former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after he stepped down in March, beat Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre, who had been ahead in the polls by as much as 30 percentage points

Upon his victory, Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) President Bea Bruske congratulated Prime Minister Carney while also laying out labour’s top priorities.  In doing so, President Bruske noted that, “Now is the time to build—by investing in people and the public systems that support them.”  IFPTE, a proud affiliate of the CLC, couldn’t agree more with President Bruske!
