IFPTE Thanks Brother Brian Kildee for His Exemplary Service to Our Union
Brian Kildee
With mixed emotions, we announce that Assistant to the Executive Officers, Brian Kildee, will leave IFPTE on Friday, October 2. IFPTE’s executive officers reflected on his service.
President Matt Biggs said, “Brother Kildee has served the membership and the officers of the Federation with distinction and honor for over five years. His guidance and advice during what has been one of the most challenging times in our Union’s history have been invaluable and irreplaceable. We will certainly miss him and wish him and his family nothing but the best in their future endeavors.”
Secretary-Treasurer Gay Henson said, “Brian’s service here at IFPTE has been second to none. His strategic vision for the future of IFPTE, and his dedication and contributions to our membership, will continue to benefit IFPTE for many, many years to come. Brian’s incredible work in co-leading the development of the IFPTE STEM apprenticeship program cannot be overstated. While he will be dearly missed, he will also continue to be a member of the IFPTE family.”
Brian expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to work for President Biggs, Secretary-Treasurer Henson and the members of IFPTE: “Wearing the IFPTE colors has meant living the principle of Strength through Solidarity every day. From the City Planner in Winnipeg to the STEM Apprentice in the Tennessee Valley, IFPTE’s members have inspired me, and it has been an honor to support this union’s commitment to them, their families, and their dignity and safety on the job.”
Brian will remain in the labor movement, having accepted a position with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), a strong union and valued IFPTE partner.
Congratulations, Brian, and best wishes for continued success.
