IFPTE Urges Congress to Defund Implementation of Canadian Tariffs

After President Trump again imposed reckless and damaging tariffs on Canada, IFPTE responded by urging Congressional appropriators to put action behind rhetoric by including language in their government funding measures to defund the ability of the administration to implement the punitive policy, reminding lawmakers that, “Canada is America’s closest ally and number one trading partner,” and in a “trading relationship uplifts American and Canadian working families alike.”
