NPEU/IFPTE Local 70 Members Attend Bargaining Academy Training

Members and leaders from the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union (NPEU/IFPTE Local 70), attended the Local’s bargaining academy training last Saturday at the IFPTE Union House in Washington, DC.  Members from seven different NPEU units attended: Pew Research Center, the Hub Project, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, Lawyers Committee on Civil Rights, WeBuildProgress, and Action Squared.  NPEU, which is one of IFPTE’s fastest growing Locals, focused on training bargaining unit leaders about best Union practices in bargaining, particularly when it comes to negotiating first contracts.  

NPEU/Southeastern Area Vice President, Amy Chin-Lai, was among those who performed the training along with NPEU staff Heather Cushman, Kareem Elrefai, Nancy Yan, and Anya McMurrer .
