SPEEA Leaders Ready for Action After SPEEA Convention/Conference

SPEEA/IFPTE Local 2001 Council Reps from three states came together for the annual SPEEA Council Convention and Leadership Conference last week in SEATAC, Washington.  The theme of the convention and training conference was, “Ready for Action”, with highlights including Wichita Council Rep Angela Hottle receiving the Stephen Pezzini Helping Other People Excel (HOPE) award for her union activism and community support, a report out from Negotiation Team members and Contract Action Team members, and workshops on topics ranging from labor rights, legislative issues and negotiations to empowering leadership development.
