SUP/IFPTE Local 160 at the Canadian Radiotheranostics Leaders' Summit
Earlier this week, representatives from the Society of United Professionals (SUP/IFPTE Local 160) attended the Canadian Radiotheranostics Leaders’ Summit 2026 in Toronto.
The summit brought together experts from healthcare, research, industry, and government to explore how collaboration can strengthen Canada’s radioisotope sector, support innovation, and improve access to life-saving diagnostics and therapies. Discussions also highlighted Canada’s strong clinical and manufacturing capabilities, resilient isotope supply chain, and growing leadership role on the global stage.
For the Society of United Professionals, these conversations are closely connected to the work of our members. Across Canada’s nuclear facilities, skilled professionals play an essential role in producing the radioisotopes that support patient care every day. It was valuable to hear how their expertise continues to contribute to advances in healthcare, both in Canada and around the world.
