WAPSO Members Pleased with Progress at AGM

WAPSO/IFPTE Local 162 held its Annual General Meeting on November 3rd. Held virtually, WAPSO President and Canadian Area VP, Richard Mahe, chaired the successful gathering towards another productive year. The AGM provided the Local with an opportunity to adjust its constitution and bylaws, as well as the election of executive board positions. This was President Mahe’s first attempt at re-election and with no challengers coming forward, he was declared president by acclamation.

SCMMA Members So Engaged, AGM Takes Two Sessions

The Saskatoon Civic Middle Management Association (SCMMA - “ski” “ma”) IFPTE Local 222 held its Annual General Meeting and was able to further solidify its place in the IFPTE family. This is the 2nd AGM conducted under the affiliation of IFPTE. President Jackie Morley and the executive prepared a number of motions to enhance the governing structure of SCMMA.

Nuclear Professionals Support Medical Isotope Bill

The Society of United Professionals (SUP/IFPTE Local 160) commends both official parties in the Ontario Legislature for supporting a private member’s bill recognizing the value of medical isotopes produced by the province’s nuclear reactors. The bill helps mark the beginning of a key virtual trade mission to increase medical isotope exports that will bring more good jobs to Ontario.
