IFPTE Requests Senate Passage of Continuing Resolution to Keep Government Open

IFPTE requested Senators vote to a continuing resolution to prevent a shutdown and fund the federal government through March 11, 2022. The bill passed the House last week with bipartisan support. The union letter also applauds Sen. Schatz and Rep. Case for including funding to clean up Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility in Hawaii.

This week the White House Task Force on Worker Organizing and Empowerment released a report detailing 70 recommendations that the Biden Administration is pushing to, “promote worker organizing and collective bargaining for federal employees and for workers employed by public and private-sector employers.”
