As CUPE Local 500, representing 5,000 Winnipeg city workers, prepares for a potential strike, the members of WAPSO/IFPTE Local 162 are stepping up in SOLIDARITY to support their efforts. On September 12, 93% of CUPE 500 members voted to authorize a strike, with little progess being made since then, according to CUPE 500 President Gord Delbridge.
