UNION STRONG! After Nearly Five Years, Engineering Association (EA/IFPTE Local 1937) Member, Timothy Hubbard, Wins His Job Back!

The much-anticipated arbitrator’s decision involving the unjust termination of EA/IFPTE Local 1937 member, Timothy Hubbard, was released earlier this week.  The decision, which comes nearly five years after TVA fired Brother Hubbard, was both convincing and sweeping in Hubbard’s defense, finding that, “The Grievant's termination is to be set aside and the Grievant is to be returned to work with back pay and no loss of seniority or benefits.”

IFPTE President, Matt Biggs, was one of twenty-one panelists who participated in a bipartisan forum this week hosted by Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Senators Mike Rounds (R-SD), Martin Heinrich (D-NM), and Todd Young (R-IN).  The forum is the ninth of a series of Senate forums held this year to examine Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on all facets of society.
